2024 Fantasy Outlook
Loftin hit a productive, if unspectacular, 14 home runs with a .788 OPS at Triple-A last season. He then hit .323 with an .803 OPS over 68 plate appearances in his first big-league audition. His MLB numbers, especially fueled by a .392 BABIP, likely won't last over a longer sample. Loftin has played all around the infield in his minor-league career, so he could win a utility role with the Royals this spring. He has had low strikeout rates (13.1% K% at Triple-A) with strong walk rates (9.7% BB% at Triple-A), so he could maintain an above-average batting average.
