He is an interesting sort at the plate beause he is extremely disciplined with all his studying of the strike zone behind the plate as he has delivered a double-digit walk percentage every season of his professional career and has more walks (209) than strikeouts (203) in his professional career. He also has 19 home runs in nearly 1400 plate appearances with a .269 batting average. He qualifies at both catcher and first base, but lacks the power fantasy managers desire from either position and will obviously hurt you much less at catcher where his skills should still allow him to hit for an above-average batting average from the catching position.
