Hensley saw 94 plate appearances across 30 games for Houston in 2023 and frankly struggled as he slashed .119/.213/.167 before being sent back to Triple-A for good in August. Things didn't go much better for the 27-year-old in the minors posting a .220/.365/.356 line in 293 plate appearances with Sugar Land. After impressing in a short stint in 2022, it was a backwards step for Hensley who is likely now on the outside looking in at a roster spot in 2024. It's possible Hensley could make the team out of spring, but if he does he'll likely be limited to being a bench bat in a utility role as he's capable of playing multiple infield roles as well as corner outfield.
