Kennedy earned a small handful of MLB plate appearances for the third straight season, and again did very little with them, going 2-for-10 for the Tigers and 2-for-11 after being designated for assignment and dealt to the Phillies. He hit a respectable .272/.376/.458 (good for a 119 wRC+) at the Triple-A level between the two organizations, but he's at best fighting for a bench role with the Phillies this spring. Philadelphia could potentially use a short-side platoon partner for Max Kepler in left field, but Kennedy has limited experience in the outfield, so he's probably an underdog in that fight.
