Profar was just four games into his Atlanta career before he got popped with an 80-game PED suspension. Considering how much of an outlier his 2024 season was compared to the rest of his career, it was natural to be skeptical about how productive the 33-year-old would be once reinstated. However, while Profar did not match his 2024 level of production upon his return in June, he was still quite good, finishing with a .787 OPS, 122 wRC+, 14 home runs and nine stolen bases over 371 plate appearances. Profar's plate discipline remained elite with a 15.9 percent strikeout rate and 12.9 percent walk rate, but a spiked flyball rate (31.3 percent) contributed to a dip in batting average. It's difficult to project what Profar will look like in 2026, but he'll be in a favorable home park, part of what should be a solid lineup and will likely hit in one of the first two spots in the batting order.
