Grichuk signed with the Diamondbacks for 2024 and was expected to serve as a short-side platoon player at designated hitter and in the outfield, and he played his part perfectly with a .291/.348/.528 slash line and 12 home runs in 279 plate appearances. He crushed lefties to the tune of a .914 OPS in 184 plate appearances and also fared well versus righties with an .802 OPS in a more limited sample (95 PAs). It's the first time since 2020 that Grichuk had an even average performance against right-handed pitching, so the success in 2024's small sample size is unlikely to alter his outlook much. His volume is likely to be limited with a similar role expected for him in 2025, though that could vary depending where he signs. Read Past Outlooks
