At the start of spring training, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza named Bader the team's everyday center fielder. While that mostly held true during the season, there was times during the season when the 30-year-old's playing time was hit-or-miss. Bader did ultimately finish with 143 games and 437 plate appearances, which were both career highs, thanks in large part to a rare full season of health for the outfielder. A .657 OPS and 85 wRC+ weren't anything to write home about, but Bader did prove useful in deeper fantasy formats with his 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases. Bader's elite glove might be enough to land him another job where he plays fairly regularly, but the injury history and the career .669 OPS versus righties points to around 400 plate appearances being a best-case scenario.
