
Abraham Toro News: Sent to Triple-A
Toro cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
The 28-year-old was designated for assignment by Boston on Thursday but will remain in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. Toro played in 77 games for the Red Sox this season and had a .239/.289/.371 slash line with seven home runs, 27 RBI and 33 runs.
