Saturday's MLB Main slate begins at 7:05 PM Eastern time and features nine games. Below, you'll find which individual pitchers and hitters are primed to provide the best value, as well as the top lineup stacking options in this slate.
Pitching Overview
The obvious choice for owners with money to spend on the mound is Jacob deGrom ($57) against a bottom-five Royals offense in Kansas City. If you can't afford deGrom, there are some enticing mid-tier options to choose from while leaving room for a few big bats in favorable matchups.
Dinelson Lamet's ($34) 3.83 FIP suggests his solid 3.86 ERA is no fluke, and the Padres righty should be a strong source of strikeouts in Philadelphia. His tremendous 32.5 percent strikeout rate provides serious upside relative to his modest valuation.
A change of scenery has made a world of difference for righty Jordan Lyles ($31), who has allowed just three earned runs in 17 innings through three starts with the Brewers. He'll look to keep rolling in Washington and can be had on the cheap.
Value Plays/Chalk
The Rangers, Twins and White Sox all look appealing against vulnerable pitchers, but certain individuals found outside of those three stackable lineups also stand out as options to target.
Red Sox' third baseman Rafael Devers ($26) boasts a wOBA well over .400 against righties. He won't come cheap but should be worth paying up for against Orioles righty Asher Wojciechowski, who's allowing a .367 wOBA to batters from the left side.
Another potential lineup centerpiece is Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger ($21). Bellinger enters with a .430 wOBA against righties and offers a nice opportunity to add to that mark against Braves' starter Mike Foltynewicz, who comes in with a 6.24 ERA and 5.83 FIP.
Giants' first baseman Brandon Belt ($8) could turn into a strong bargain bin option against struggling Arizona righty Merrill Kelly. Belt has managed a .382 road wOBA against righties, while Kelly has struggled with a 10.71 ERA over his past four starts.
Stacks
Rockies vs. Hector Noesi (Marlins)
Charlie Blackmon (OF - $20), Raimel Tapia (OF - $17), Nolan Arenado (3B - $20)
This is just about the most hitter-friendly scenario imaginable, as Colorado will play host to the vulnerable Marlins' righty at Coors Field - which, unsurprisingly, leads the league with a 1.49 park factor. Noesi brings an 8.18 ERA and 7.59 FIP through two starts into this matchup after previously being out of the league since 2015. Blackmon possesses the platoon advantage and a wOBA over .500 at home, while Tapia's home wOBA against righties sits just under .400. Arenado's even better against lefties, but his .370 home wOBA in righty-on-righty matchups is nothing to sneeze at.
Twins vs. Ariel Jurado (Rangers)
Luis Arraez (2B - $16), Eddie Rosario (OF - $19), Jorge Polanco (SS - $14)
Globe Life Park in Arlington ranks second to Coors Field with a 1.17 park factor, and the visiting Twins are primed to capitalize on the hitter-friendly conditions against Jurado. The young righty enters with a 5.31 ERA and 4.81 FIP on the season, and those numbers have climbed to 7.38 and 5.46 in 39 innings since the beginning of July. Arraez should help add to Jurado's struggles, as the rookie second baseman's wOBA against righties is nearly .400. Rosario represents another dangerous left-handed batter, and Polanco will also enjoy the platoon advantage as a switch-hitter - with both notching .390 road wOBAs against righties this year.
White Sox vs. Jose Suarez (Angels)
Jose Abreu (1B - $19), Leury Garcia (OF - $14), James McCann (C - $13)
The White Sox haven't produced many offensive outbursts, but this matchup with Suarez could prove to be an exception. Right-handed batters have recorded a whopping .433 wOBA over a 163-batter sample against the Angels southpaw this season. Abreu has pummeled lefties as usual with a wOBA over .400 in that split, while the switch-hitting Garcia leads off and owns a respectable .350 wOBA from the right side. McCann is the rare catcher that hits cleanup, and he's performed decently in that spot with a .369 wOBA against left-handed pitching.
