Burrell had a career-best season in 2024, averaging 5.9 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game over 37 appearances (seven starts). While that wasn't enough to make her a reliable fantasy option, the Sparks relied on her more late in the season while other players dealt with injuries. However, the Sparks traded for Kelsey Plum during the offseason and brought back Aari McDonald and Odyssey Sims, so Burrell's playing time will likely remain limited in 2025 as long as the team remains healthy. Burrell made three appearances (one start) and averaged 14.7 minutes per game before her rookie campaign was cut short by knee surgery. She appears to be back to full strength and is currently playing overseas, but even with multiple injuries in the Sparks' backcourt, Burrell was unable to earn a roster spot out of training camp. She could sign elsewhere, but it will be tough for Burrell to find a more favorable spot than the one in Los Angeles.
