Although Sims appeared in 28 games last year after making just seven appearances in 2022, she didn't have a consistent role for Dallas. The 31-year-old averaged 2.0 points and 2.2 assists in 12.0 minutes per game, and it's unclear whether she'll land a contract with a team ahead of the 2024 campaign. Sims has proven to have the talent to be a solid fantasy contributor earlier in his career, but she's been inconsistent when on the court over the past two seasons and is unlikely to be a season-long fantasy asset in 2024. Sims notched four points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes during Thursday's 68-51 victory over the Lynx.
ANALYSIS
Sims was without a team for most of the first half of the regular season until she signed a hardship contract with the Wings in late June. She appeared in nine games (including seven starts) for Dallas and averaged 17.2 points on 53.5 percent shooting (including 50.0 percent from three on 3.6 3PA/G), 5.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals across 34.0 minutes per game. Despite her strong play, Sims was let go by Dallas in mid-August due to the returns of Satou Sabally, Maddy Siegrist and Jaelyn Brown following the Olympic break. Sims managed to catch on with the Sparks for the second half of the regular season, and she averaged 9.8 points, 5.1 assists and 1.7 rebounds over 26.3 minutes per game over the final 15 games of the regular season, 10 of which she started. 2025 will be Sims' 12th year in the WNBA if she manages to catch on with a team during the offseason.
