Amihere was the eighth overall pick by Atlanta in the 2023 WNBA Draft, but she struggled to enter the team's rotation over the first two years of her career. Over her first two seasons in the league, she averaged 2.0 points and 1.4 assists in 6.1 minutes per game. She was waived by Atlanta in February and subsequently claimed by the Valkyries. Golden State focused on several international prospects during offseason activities, but Amihere was waived by the Valkyries ahead of the regular season, even after she played double-digit minutes in each of the team's two preseason games.
