2025 Fantasy Outlook

Jocyte is just 19 years old, but she's had success overseas in recent seasons and was selected by the Valkyries with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She joins the WNBA's newest franchise, an organization that targeted plenty of international talent via the expansion draft over the winter. While playing alongside No. 2 pick Dominique Malonga with French club Lyon in the BWL this season, Jocyte averaged 11.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28.2 minutes per game. While she's a solid shooter with decent size, her availability is in question, as she's expressed that her top priority is playing for the Lithuanian national team, and they'll be playing in EuroBasket in June. Jocyte does have some upside heading into her rookie season, but she's a risky fantasy pick due to her potential absence over the summer and the uncertainty in how the Valkyries' rotation will look when they begin play. Jocyte was selected by the Valkyries with the fifth overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday, Mitchell Hansen of CanisHoopus.com reports.

ANALYSIS
The Valkyries targeted plenty of international players in the WNBA Expansion Draft, and that trend continued by selecting Jocyte in the first round of the rookie draft. She played alongside No. 2 pick Dominique Malonga with French club Lyon in the BWL this season, and Jocyte averaged 11.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 28.2 minutes per game over 21 appearances. Although Jocyte won't be subject to the WNBA's prioritization rules early in her career, she's indicated that playing for the Lithuanian national team is her top priority, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her miss at least part of the WNBA season over the summer in order to compete in EuroBasket.
