2025 Fantasy Outlook
Vandersloot has established herself as one of the league's premier passers throughout her career, but she saw decreased opportunities during her age-35 season, her second year with the Liberty. She still started in all 31 of her regular-season appearances, but she averaged 6.4 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game, marking one of the worst performances of her 14-year career. Vandersloot will have a chance to bounce back in Chicago, where she played for 12 seasons. She'll likely see an uptick in playing time and should have plenty of opportunities to rack up assists while playing alongside young stars like Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. Vandersloot is a bounce-back candidate in her return to the Sky, but fantasy managers should still temper their expectations in case she deals with some conditioning concerns in her age-36 season. Wants to return next season
Vandersloot (knee) made it clear Saturday that she fully intends to return to the Sky next season, Jack Maloney of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Vandersloot clears the air after Angel Reese's (suspended) controversial comments about the veteran's age. "Contrary to what people say or think, my age is actually not a factor. I am coming back." Vandersloot will turn 37 in February, but she clearly has no intention of calling it a career despite playing in only seven games during the 2025 campaign due to a torn ACL in her right knee.

Despite sharing the court with Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, Vandersloot averaged at least 10 points, eight assists, three rebounds and a steal for the fifth time over her past six seasons. She has one year remaining on her current deal and will return to a star-laden team, though Jones may be on the move this offseason. Vandersloot is entering her age-35 season, but with Marine Johannes unlikely to play in the WNBA in 2024, the veteran should remain in a 30-plus minute role again. After three straight top-10 fantasy finishes, Vandersloot finished 22nd and 21st over the last two seasons, respectively, so she should be a safe pick at the end of the second or early third round in drafts.
