After beginning her college career at Texas, Taylor transferred to Duke for two seasons before settling at Ohio State for her fifth year of eligibility. Taylor posted 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.5 steals per game in 2023-24, earning her Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors. The 5-11 guard is noted more for her ability on that end of the floor, but she shot a career-best 40.9 percent from the field last season while knocking down 1.3 three-pointers per game at a 32.0 percent clip. Taylor will have to earn her minutes as a rookie, as Indiana already has a strong backcourt in place in No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark and veteran Kelsey Mitchell. ANALYSIS
After jumping around to a few teams over the course of the regular season, Taylor concluded the year with the Phoenix Mercury and even ended up starting in four of her 15 games with Phoenix. Taylor was originally drafted in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, later being waived by the Fever and signing seven-day contracts in Phoenix and Connecticut before concluding the year as a Mercury. Taylor should at least see an invite to training camp in 2025, whether that's with Phoenix or elsewhere.
