Agbonifo has joined Lens on loan until the end of the season from BK Hacken with a purchase option,
the club announced. "We are happy to announce the arrival of Jeremy to our ranks. At 19 years old, this winger already displays developed technical and athletic qualities, which he has shown both with his youth club and the Swedish U21 national team in recent months. His explosiveness, ability to make a difference, ease in making runs behind the defense, and his work ethic, highly valued in Artois, will allow him to fit naturally into Will Still's squad. With strong potential, this hard worker is eager to progress, and I am confident that he will find the environment and support at Racing to help him develop. Welcome, Jeremy!" said General Director Pierre Derossi.
ANALYSIS
Agbonifo has earned his first call-up to Sweden's U21 national team after strong performances for BK Hacken in both the Allsvenskan and European competitions. He grew up in Sweden's second-largest city and joined BK Hacken, where he impressed from a young age, even scoring 8 goals in 13 matches with the U17 team. Agbonifo later honed his skills at FC Porto's academy before returning to Sweden in February 2024, making his Allsvenskan debut with Hacken in July. With 6 goals and 2 assists in 1,393 minutes, his consistent performances have earned him a spot with the U21 national team. He will bring young potential and healthy competition to the front line of Lens.
