Marco Friedl Injury: Suffers MCL injury

Friedl has suffered an MCL injury in Saturday's season opener against Frankfurt and is out for the time being, the club announced.

Friedl underwent an MRI on Sunday that revealed he suffered an MCL injury in the season opener against the Eagles. He will likely be assessed in the coming days to monitor the injury, as he could miss between one and six weeks depending on the grade. That said, if he has to miss time, Abdoul-Karim Coulibaly could see increased playing time for Bremen.
