Hugo Gonzalez News: Unused substitute in Apertura final

Gonzalez was an unused substitute during Sunday's 2-1 (11-9) penalty shootout win over Tigres.

Gonzalez lost the starting spot at the last moment, possibly due to his error that caused a goal against in the first leg of the finals against Tigres. His place was taken by Luis Manuel Garcia, with whom he had already rotated during the regular season. The former Mazatlan keeper ended up tallying 34 saves, 16 goals allowed and five clean sheets across 15 games in his first campaign for the Red Devils.
