Andre-Pierre Gignac Injury: Misses Toluca match
Gignac didn't play in Saturday's win over Toluca because he was recovering from a grade-one ankle sprain, according to the club's medical report.
Gignac had just returned off the bench after facing a lengthy absence due to leg and Achilles tendon injuries, but his current issue appears to be of a different nature and much lesser severity, so he may be ready to see action in Leagues Cup before Liga MX resumes in August. In that case, the striker will likely record limited minutes in the rotation with Nicolas Ibanez, Angel Correa and Edgar Ivan Lopez.
