Disappointing end to title fight

Power finished 24th at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway and fell to fourth in the championship standings.

ANALYSIS
Power came into Sunday's race needing to have a very strong day and some help from championship leader Alex Palou for Power to win a third title. It just wasn't meant to be as Power had to come down pit road early in the race due to a disconnected seat belt. The team would go five laps down making repairs, which ultimately ended their race and season. Power was passed in the final championship standings by both Nashville winner Colton Herta and teammate Scott McLaughlin. Power still has to be proud of the performance his team had this season winning three races along with four other runner-up finishes. The 43-year-old is still very much at the top of his game and should be able to make another run at a title in 2025.
