VeeKay and Ed Carpenter Racing failed to come to an agreement on a new contract, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.

VeeKay and Romain Grosjean showed the deep level of competition in the NTT IndyCar Series by ending up 1-2 in the pre-qualifying practice Saturday for the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix powered by AmFirst at Barber Motorsports Park.
