Fourth place after leading most laps

Kirkwood finished in fourth place at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix at Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday.

ANALYSIS
Kirkwood started on pole and would go on to lead a race-high 67 laps. There were a number of other worthy challengers throughout the afternoon and Kirkwood would eventually lose track position to them and fall to fourth place. Fortunately for Andretti Global, teammate Colton Herta was able to pick up the victory in the season finale. Kirkwood closes out his best finish in the championship in seventh place behind 13 top-10 finishes, tied for a series-best mark. Unfortunately only one of those resulted in a podium, which was a runner-up finish in Toronto. Kirkwood will hope to get back to victory lane in 2025 after winning twice in 2023.
