Kaden Honeycutt

Halmar Friesen Racing
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Honeycutt gets the promotion from part-time to full-time in 2025. He did great work with this team last season in just 14 starts. Honeycutt would stack up two Top-5 and six Top-10 finishes in those efforts and race very competitively in a half-season schedule. He will partner with crew chief, Phil Gould, once again and look to extend this success into a full slate of races in the No. 45 Chevrolet. The 21-year-old prospect has shown the ability to win races in his late model stock and ARCA Menards Series career, so he's a budding star of the future in the Craftsman Truck Series and bound to climb NASCAR's development ladder in the future. Driving No. 52 for playoff run
Craftsman Truck Series
August 5, 2025
Honeycutt was let go by Niece Motorsports after he signed with another OEM for 2026, but will take over the No. 52 truck for Halmar Friesen Racing for the rest of the 2025 season beginning at Richmond on Aug. 15.
ANALYSIS
Honeycutt has had a very strong season sitting sixth in the Truck Series standings behind his nine top-10 finishes. Unfortunately, Niece was not thrilled that he signed with another OEM for next season without talking with them and decided to move in a different direction. Connor Zilisch will drive the No. 45 truck at Watkins Glen this weekend before Bayley Currey takes over for the rest of the season starting at Richmond. As for Honeycutt, it worked out that as that whole deal was happening, Stewart Friesen suffered some serious injuries in a dirt track accident and will have to miss the rest of the season. It made sense from both sides that HFR would want a driver like Honeycutt in their seat as they go for the owners championship, while Honeycutt chases the drivers title. It was already announced that Christopher Bell would drive the No. 52 truck this weekend at Watkins Glen, so Honeycutt will need to find a different ride to remain eligible for the playoffs. The expectation is that Honeycutt will drive the No. 02 for Young's Motorsports at Watkins Glen before transitioning over to the No. 52 for the rest of the season. Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass said he expects that Honeycutt will be driving for TRICON Garage and Toyota in 2026.
