The former Formula 1 star made three NASCAR Cup Series starts in 2023, all for Rick Ware Racing. Button's efforts were focused on the road and street circuits with the performance fetching a reasonable 22.3 average finish across those three efforts. Button will drive the No. 15 Ford for Rick Ware Racing with support from Stewart-Haas Racing in three NASCAR Cup Series races in 2023, Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic reports.

ANALYSIS
Button will pilot the No. 15 car in upcoming races at Circuit of the Americas, Chicago Street Course, and the Indianapolis Road Course. Former SHR crew chief Mike Bugarewicz will oversee this road course program for Button. The former F1 champion has also had a hand at helping with the Garage 56 team for Hendrick Motorsports in their quest to run the 24 hours of Le Mans. This will be Button's first NASCAR race.
