The young Alpine driver would avoid most of the chaos of the opening lap and that would be the good news. The bad news is that his car lacked a good amount of pace and he'd battle in the back-end all the way until his lap 25 pit stop. From there Colapinto would be mired deep in the order and fall a lap down to the leaders on lap 45. He'd eventually cross the finish line P17 as the last car running, but would later promote two spots thanks to the double McLaren disqualification. Colapinto will look for better results next round in Qatar.
