A slow pit stop late in the race forced Malukas out of a potential top-10 finish. However, he said there were a lot of positives to take from the race and the car's performance throughout the race enabled him to overcome some of the shortcomings he had in qualifying. In all, it was an encouraging first out for Malukas with AJ Foyt Racing.
