2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 31-year-old Mexican saw a bit of a dip in performance last season. Suarez saw his Top-5 totals dip from six to just three and his Top-10 total from 13 to 10 year-over-year. It would lead to him missing the Chase playoffs and finishing 19th-place in the final point standings. As a result of his consistency struggles, Suarez would see his average finish grow to a subpar 19.0. Qualifying also suffered which placed him a bit further back on the starting grid. The team returns intact for 2024, including crew chief Travis Mack. Sponsorship is still solid so there should be some hope for improvements in the coming season. Intermediate and larger ovals were his strength in 2023 and the good news is that Suarez continues to improve in road course performance. The future is bright, but expectations must be tempered to incremental at best. Read Past Outlooks

Parting ways with Trackhouse
Suarez and Trackhouse Racing have mutually agreed to part ways at the end of the 2025 season, the team announced Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Suarez was one of the few drivers in the Cup Series with an expiring contract at the end of 2025, and faced a lot of pressure with Trackhouse prospect Connor Zilisch performing so well in the Xfinity Series. Trackhouse had four drivers for three spots going into 2026 and Shane van Gisbergen winning in Mexico City and locking himself into the playoffs did not help Suarez's chances of retaining the ride next year either. Ross Chastain at eighth in points already had a long-term contract in place and isn't going anywhere. Suarez on the other hand is way down at 29th in points and has had just three top-10 finishes in 18 races this season. No announcement has been made as to who will take over the No. 99 next season, but the expectation is that it will be Zilisch, who currently sits fifth in points in the Xfinity Series with two wins this season. It's unclear where Suarez goes from here, as there aren't a whole lot of openings in the Cup Series for 2026. He may end up back in the Xfinity Series, potentially with JRM in the ride that Zilisch leaves. Suarez won for JRM a few weeks ago in Mexico City.
