2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hemric drops down from the Cup Series and takes over the dominant truck of Christian Eckes at MHR. Eckes drove the No. 19 Chevrolet to a career-best four wins and 22 Top-10 finishes las season. He would come home third in the championship chase, but by a lot of measures was the most dominant driver of 2024. Hemric will now takeover this strong team and look to equal that success in 2025. The veteran driver has spent the last eight seasons competing either in the Xfinity or Cup Series and at 34-years-old, he's no youngster. Hemric hasn't competed full-time in the trucks since 2016 but it should be a pretty seamless transition for him. He'll be taking over a race-winning caliber team and throw his hat in the ring for the championship. Read Past Outlooks

Runner-up Finish at the Glen
Hemric finished second in the Mission 176 at The Glen NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Watkins Glen International on Friday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
The veteran driver would do a skilled job of driving from 17th-plae on the starting grid to crack the Top 10 by the end of stage 1. Hemric would carry that strong track position forward the rest of the way. He would lead only 1 lap in this road course battle but during NASCAR overtime, Hemric would end up battling Corey Heim for the win. He would fall just 0.2-seconds short at the checkered flag for the impressive runner-up finish. It was his eighth Top 5 of the season.

While Hemric is being promoted to full-time Cup Series action in 2024, this will not be his first cup of coffee in NASCAR's top division. He has 47 starts spread over a window from 2017 to 2022. Hemric has only earned three Top-10 finishes in those starts because of small team/challenged situations. His signing with Kaulig means that he gets a true, full campaign with steady team support. Hemric replaces the departed Justin Haley in the team's No. 31 Chevrolet. This team earned six Top-10 finishes and wound up 26th-place in the final points under Haley's guidance last season. Hemric will be challenged to equal those marks in the upcoming campaign as this is his first meaningful Cup Series action since 2022. He was a journeyman driver in the Xfinity Series for six years, earning one victory and 104 Top-10 finishes in his 186 starts. While Hemric's resume isn't overly impressive it is flush with experience and should help Kaulig's No. 31 team to grow given some time.
