Alex Palou would dominate the race, but Rasmussen would catch a huge break late when raindrops brought out a caution period. The Ed Carpenter Racing driver would dart onto pit road and bolt on fresh tires. He'd us the new rubber to quickly knife through the field down the stretch, including an impressive overtake of Palou for the lead. Rasmussen would hold off the Chip Ganassi Racing star to win by nearly 2-seconds at the checkered flag. It was the young driver's first-career victory.
