Signs multi-year deal with ECR
Rasmussen has signed an multi-year deal with Ed Carpenter Racing to pilot the No. 21 Chevrolet in the IndyCar Series, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Rasmussen won the Indy NXT title in 2023 highlighted by his five wins in 14 starts. He transitioned to IndyCar in 2024 with ECR on a mostly full-time basis, driving in 14 of the 17 races. Rasmussen only had one top-10 finish, but there is a lot of talent here and ECR was willing to make that investment by putting Rasmussen full-time in the No. 21 for at least the next couple years. It was also announced that he will have a new teammate with Alexander Rossi signing a multi-year deal as well to join the team.
