Predictably routed in UFC debut
Vines lost to Ateba Gautier via KO (strikes) at 1:41 of Round 1 at UFC 320 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Vines accepted this fight a few days ago and was roughly a +1000 underdog against one of the most terrifying opponents we have seen in recent memory. In the grand scheme of things, Vines deserves credit for lasting as long as he did. He sprang forward for a takedown, at which point Gautier shrugged him off and sent him to the shadow realm. Vines is going to get another opportunity with the company for his willingness to "save" this fight, but little should be expected.
