Snaps three-fight losing streak
FlyweightUFC
April 12, 2025
Mudaerji defeated Mitch Raposo via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 314 on Saturday on Miami.
ANALYSIS
Entering on a three-fight losing streak, Mudaerji almost certainly would have been handed his walking papers if he came up short once again. He did enough to win, but not by much. Su simply remained at distance and tried to pick Raposo apart from the outside. He gave up six takedowns, but absorbed almost zero damage and was able to work his way back to his feet almost immediately, which ended up being the difference in a fight in which not very much was happening. Mudaerji has an intriguing frame for the flyweight division at 5-foot-8, but that's about it.

Raposo up next
FlyweightUFC
February 7, 2025
Mudaerji will fight Mitch Raposo at UFC 314 on April 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Mudaerji has dropped each of his last three bouts dating back to 2022, so he will surely be desperate to capture a win in April with his spot on the UFC roster potentially on the line. His chance to get back on track will come against an opponent who is still seeking his first win in the promotion after losing his debut in June.
Losing streak hits three
FlyweightUFC
October 20, 2024
Mudaerji lost to Charles Johnson via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was close enough that it's difficult to believe that not one judge scored it for Mudaerji. In many aspects, it played out like most thought. Su was the much crisper striker and landed the more consistent damaging blows. Yet, Johnson picked up a pair of takedowns and had the biggest moment of the fight with a Round 2 knockdown. Mudaerji began his UFC run with victories in three of his first four fights, but he's now lost three in a row dating back to July 2022, and that's a quick way to lose your roster spot.

Mudaerji will fight Charles Johnson at a UFC event on Oct. 19, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Mudaerji will finally get his first fight of 2024 after his fight versus Joshua Van slated for UFC 302 was cancelled. The Chinese flyweight hasn't won a match since 2021, so he'll have much to prove as he takes on Johnson.

Newark fight on tap
FlyweightUFC
April 8, 2024
Mudareji is scheduled to compete against fellow flyweight Joshua Van at UFC 302 in Newark on June 1, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Coming off the heels of back-to-back losses and no UFC wins since 2021, Mudareji will have to defend his spot in the promotion's flyweight rankings. A decisive loss to Van, who is 3-0 in UFC competition, would demote Mudareji off the top 15 at flyweight.
