Nicoll joined the UFC with some hype and an undefeated professional record back in August 2024. He's now fought twice for the company and has looked absolutely awful in both appearances. He was submitted by Jesus Aguilar in under three minutes in his debut and showed just as little here against Rocha despite seeing the final bell. He did plenty of good work early, only to get overaggressive and fall into the guillotine choke that ended the fight. Nicoll chose to go to sleep as opposed to tapping out. Set to turn 30 years of age in early-November and with all of nine professional fights under his belt, this was a totally winnable fight in his home country against a lesser opponent. The fact Nicoll wasn't able to get the job done bodes extremely poorly for his future prospects.
