July 23, 2024
Fakhretdinov will match up against Nursulton Ruziboev for UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Oct. 26, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The undefeated Russian will get his sixth UFC match after a close win via split decision against Nicolas Dalby in June. Fakhretdinov has more experience in the UFC (4-0-1) over Ruziboev, but Ruziboev has been in the professional fighting business longer and also holds a two-inch reach advantage.

Remains undefeated in UFC
WelterweightUFC
June 22, 2024
Fakhretdinov defeated Nicolas Dalby via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
ANALYSIS
Fakhretdinov had his moments, but you'd like to see a bit more dominance from a -360 favorite. To Rinat's credit, he never really slowed down, but Dalby is impossible to finish, and that made this fight more difficult than it probably should have been. Ultimately, Fakhretdinov won this fight on the strength of five successful takedown attempts, good for 6:17 worth of control time. A solid grappler with power, Fakhretdinov is undefeated in his first five UFC bouts (4-0-1), but three of the four wins have come via submission, and he's had some very hairy moments in the past couple fights.

Fakhretdinov is scheduled to compete against Nicolas Dalby in a welterweight fight at UFC Saudi Arabia on June 22, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Fakhretdinov will look to bounce back after coming out quite lucky with a majority draw in his previous fight against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. He will need at least a little bit more luck against Dalby, who finished his 2023 by winning each of his three bouts.
Fades late in majority draw
WelterweightUFC
November 4, 2023
Fakhretdinov and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos fought to a majority draw (28-29, 28-28, 28-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
This was a tale of two fights. On one hand, Fakhretdinov should be furious with himself that he didn't win. He knocked Zaleski dos Santos down just seconds into the fight and appeared up two rounds heading into the final frame. On the other hand, Fakhretdinov absorbed a shot to the body late in Round 3 which dropped him and it's nothing short of a total miracle he wasn't submitted or knocked out by the Brazilian in the closing seconds of the fight. Fakhretdinov has real power and all sorts of skill, but the durability and cardio are a question mark. It's something to monitor moving forward.

Fakhretdinov will compete against Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in a welterweight fight at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Fakhretdinov, undefeated across his last 20 fights, will try to play spoiler against Brazillian counterpart Zaleski dos Santos. He recently defeated Fakhretdinov's fellow Russian countryman Abubakar Nurmagomedov via split decision at UFC on ESPN 46.
Demolishes Kevin Lee in 55 seconds
WelterweightUFC
July 1, 2023
Fakhretdinov defeated Kevin Lee via technical submission (guillotine choke) at 0:55 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Well, that was terrifying. Clearly not impressed with Lee's impressive resume, Fakhretdinov pushed forward moments after the opening bell rang and crushed his opponent with a quick combination which floored Lee. He then stood over him and clamped on the guillotine which closed the show. The sample size is small, but Fakhretdinov has now won each of his first three UFC bouts (Lee, Bryan Battle, Andreas Michailidis) with ease. He has won 20 in a row overall. Fakhretdinov is quickly becoming a massive problem for everyone at 170 pounds.
