Set for UFC debut
BantamweightUFC
May 17, 2025
Mix will face Mario Bautista at UFC 316 in Newark on June 7.
ANALYSIS
Mix was a free agent only for a few days after his contract with PFL ended earlier this month, and he quickly signed with UFC. He'll make his debut against Bautista and will look to prove he belongs in the UFC after dominating the previous promotions in which he has featured in the past. Mix's debut at UFC 316 will happen after Marlon Vera (undisclosed) was ruled out of the fight against Bautista on May 14.

Unifies Bellator 135-pound belt
BantamweightUFC
November 20, 2023
Mix became the new Bellator Bantamweight Champion following his victory over Anthony Pettis via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:51 of Round 2 at Bellator 301 on Friday in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
It's been an incredible run for Mix to get here, which includes victories over world-class fighters such as Kyoji Horiguchi, Magomed Magomedov and Rafaeon Stots. The Stots victory ended up earning Mix the interim champion tag, as it was the finale of the bantamweight grand prix that Pettis was forced to drop out of. The two unified the belt Friday, though the outcome wasn't particularly close. Mix looked like the bigger man throughout, and his size allowed him to keep the strikes of Pettis at bay while simply out-muscling him in the grappling department. He took a 10-9 verdict on all three of the judges scorecards in Round 1 before picking up the Round 2 submission. Mix is apparently still under a multi-fight contract with Bellator, so a jump to the UFC -- where he would clearly be able to compete -- looks to be out of the question. With Monday's announcement that Bellator will now be under the banner of the PFL, it remains unclear how Mix might be utilized moving forward. He'd almost certainly be the favorite in the bantamweight playoff, but Mix could also be featured on other high-profile fight cards or in champion vs. champion bouts.
Wins Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix
BantamweightUFC
April 24, 2023
Mix defeated Raufeon Stots via KO (knee to head) at 1:20 of Round 1 at Bellator 295 on Saturday in Honolulu. With the victory, he'll win the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix and take home a $1 million top prize.
ANALYSIS
Mix had to go through a murderer's row of bantamweights to get here, defeating Kyoji Horiguchi and Magomed Magomedov before making quick work of Stots in the final. Now, Bellator has a tricky situations on its hands with respect to the men's 135-pound division, as Mix is technically only an interim champion despite winning the Grand Prix. Current champion Sergio Pettis is scheduled for a June 16 bout against Patricio Pitbull, so Mix will likely have to wait until at least the fall of 2023 for Bellator to schedule a unification bout against the winner of that matchup.
