Agrees to fight Morales in August
Magny has verbally agreed to take on Michael Morales at a UFC event in Las Vegas on August 24, per Danny Segura of MMAJunkie.USAToday.com.

He rained down countless unanswered blows from a variety of different positions. Referee Kevin MacDonald was more than generous in allowing Malott to work through it, but Magny finally closed the show. Not competitive in a unanimous decision loss to Ian Garry last August, Neil somehow puts himself right back on the fringes of contention with this upset win.

Magny has made a career out of working his way into fights and taking them over but could never find his way past the range to land anything effective. Garry also did an excellent job at breaking away whenever "The Haitian Sensation" attempted to clinch, which resulted in the two fighters staying at range. Magny simply couldn't handle the leg kicks of Garry, as he was taken off his feet multiple times and was struggling to walk by the end of the third frame. Magny's role has been pretty well defined at this point as a gatekeeper to the top-10 at welterweight, but he may need to go back to the drawing board after being so thoroughly handled in this one.
