Tulio won't fight against Michel Pereira at UFC Shanghai on Aug. 23 due to an undisclosed injury, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The extent of the injury is unclear, but Tulio will have to wait to extend his impressive start with the company. He owns a 6-0 pro record and a 2-0 start in UFC following wins over Tresean Gore and Ihor Potieria. This means Pereira will now face Kyle Daukaus on Aug. 23.

Facing Pereira in August

Tulio will take on Michel Pereira in a middleweight bout at UFC Shanghai on August 23, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Tulio is off to a dream start in his professional MMA career, boasting a 6-0 record that includes two UFC wins. Most recently, he took care of Tresean Gore with a punch in the second round of a fight back in April. His next opponent Pereira is in desperate need of a win, as he's dropped two straight bouts.

Tulio defeated Tresean Gore via TKO (punches) at 3:16 of Round 2 at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Tulio ballooned to north of a -500 favorite when this fight kicked off, and it ended up being nowhere near high enough. He constantly pushed forward and pressured Gore, throwing a ton of power shots and landing almost everything. When all was set and done, Tulio closed with a 127-17 edge in significant strikes landed. The ridiculous toughness of Gore is the lone reason this fight lasted as long as it did. How the Brazilian will fare when those power shots aren't landing is a legitimate concern, but that is yet to be a problem through two official fights with the company in addition to an appearance on Dana White's Contender Series.

ANALYSIS
Tulio, who most recently took down Ihor Potieria at UFC Fight Night 249, will face off against Tresean Gore in April. The 30-year-old Brazilian fighter is 1-0 during his time with the UFC and 13-1 during his professional career.

Tulio defeated Ihor Potieria via TKO (punches) at 3:04 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The UFC gave Tulio a layup in his company debut, and to his credit, the Brazilian took full advantage. Facing one of the least durable and least versatile fighters in the middleweight division, Tulio clipped Potieria -- who came in two pounds heavy -- with an accidental low blow right off the hop. Ihor took most of the full five minutes to recover, but once he said he was ready to go, Tulio floored the gas pedal and got him out of there in short order. Things figure to be more difficult for Marco his next time out, but the power is very clearly legitimate.

Tulio will fight Ihor Potieria at UFC Vegas 101 on Jan. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
A Contender Series victory over Matthieu Duclos allowed Tulio to secure a UFC contract in August, and he'll now get to make his promotional debut against an opponent who has dropped four of his last five fights.
