Added to UFC 327 card
Godinez will fight Tatiana Suarez at UFC 327 on April 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 32-year-old strawweight defeated Julia Polastri and Jessica Andrade to finish 2025 a perfect 2-0. However, to extend her win streak to three, she will have to overcome a five-inch reach disadvantage against Suarez, who has lost just once since making her UFC debut in 2016.

Does enough to claim victory
Godinez defeated Jessica Andrade via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 319 on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.
ANALYSIS
Godinez came out hot with her boxing, stinging Andrade with combinations as the Brazilian fighter closed the distance. Not everything went to plan, however, as "Loopy" succeeded on just one of her 14 takedown attempts. This allowed Andrade to take the fight over in Round 3, forcing Godinez to play defense and avoid being finished. Godinez can be a problem when all of her weapons are working, but this isn't the first time she has struggled after being unable to complete takedowns. While she clearly has talent, she will need a stronger backup plan to reach the highest levels of the division. Godinez improves to 14-5-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.

Snaps brief losing streak
Godinez defeated Julia Polastri via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Godinez has never been known for her fight IQ over the course of her career, but entering this bout on a two-fight losing streak and facing a must-win situation, she leaned on her wrestling game, which was clearly her biggest advantage over Polastri. Godinez landed 5-of-11 takedowns for 7:30 worth of control time, although almost all the notable damage came in the first two rounds. The final frame became dicey when Godinez, clearly miles ahead, agreed to engage Polastri in a wild stand-up brawl. She lived to tell about it, however. Loopy's roster spot is now secure with the win.

Steps in to face Polastri
Godinez will take on Julia Polastri in a strawweight bout at UFC Mexico on Mar. 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Godinez is already Polastri's second replacement opponent. She was initially slated to face Dione Barbosa, who was replaced with Yazmin Jauregui, who has now been replaced by Godinez. Godinez is significantly more experienced than Polastri, as she boasts a 7-5 UFC record, compared to Polastri's 1-1 mark. Still, Polastri has two inches of reach on the Mexican-born fighter.

Suffers second straight loss
Godinez lost to Mackenzie Dern via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a unanimous decision loss to rising star Virna Jandiroba, this felt like a fight Godinez had to have if she wanted to remain on the fringes of the title conversation at 115 pounds. To Loopy's credit, she got back into the bout after being overwhelmed in Round 1. She evened up the bout on all three scorecards before Dern came out hot in the final frame to secure the unanimous decision win. The statistics were eerily similar between the two, but it certainly felt as if Dern was the more active fighter. Set to turn 31 years of age in early-September, Godinez is just 4-3 in her last seven fights dating back to August 2022.
