Prepolec will step in on short notice to face Benoit Saint-Denis in a lightweight matchup at UFC 315 on Saturday in Montreal, Nolan King of USA Today reports.

Prepolec has bounced around on the regional circuits since his last UFC fight in 2019, most recently winning his third consecutive fight via stoppage under the banner of BTC Promotions back in June of 2024. He now makes an opportunistic UFC return in his native Canada with literally nothing to lose. Prepolec will be a massive underdog despite the fact that Saint-Denis has dropped two fights in a row, but Prepolec will get a massive spotlight and plenty of goodwill with the company for his willingness to "save" this fight.

Prepolec came out busy early, winning the battle of significant strikes in Round 1 by a count of 28 to 17. That was the peak of the fight for the Canada native, however, as Hubbard started to engage his wrestling game in Round 2, registering 2 takedowns.
