Next fight scheduled
FlyweightUFC
October 7, 2024
Durden is scheduled to compete against fellow flyweight Joshua Van at UFC 310 in Paradise on Dec. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
A month after defeating Matt Schnell in just a few days' notice, Durden will look to get one more fight in before the end of 2024. This would be an excellent way for Durden to get back on track after his crushing loss to Bruno Silva back in July, with two wins across three months.

Picks up win on just days' notice
FlyweightUFC
September 7, 2024
Durden defeated Matt Schnell via submission (ninja choke) at 0:29 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Accepting this fight just days ago, Durden went out and tried to finish Schnell early, which was a very smart game plan considering he had nothing resembling a full training camp under his belt. Schnell wouldn't go anywhere, however, and both men landed a ton of damage on the feet in Round 1. We appeared prime for more of the same in Round 2, at which point Schnell went for a lazy takedown attempt and left his neck exposed in the process. Durden grabbed ahold of a guillotine choke before twisting into the ninja choke that closed the show and would go on to win him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The 33-year-old Durden has always been wildly inconsistent, but he has a ton of value to the company due to his willingness to fight any man at any time, which we saw first hand in this one.
Steps in to fight Schnell
FlyweightUFC
September 3, 2024
Durden will take on Matt Schnell at UFC Vegas 97 on Sep. 7, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Schnell had previously stated that there wouldn't be a replacement for this fight following the withdrawal of Alessandro Costa (shoulder), but Durden has stepped in as such despite the short notice. Durden is coming off a loss against Bruno Silva via TKO in his most recent fight in July this year. Durden is on a two-fight losing streak.
Crushing defeat in Vegas
FlyweightUFC
July 20, 2024
Durden lost to Bruno Silva via TKO (punches) at 2:58 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A defeat such as this one is the stuff nightmares are made of. Entering as a +120 underdog, Durden totally dominated this fight right up until the end. He did whatever he wanted the first seven-plus minutes, landing repeated takedowns, damaging blows and attempting three submissions. Yet, Silva was able to floor him with an uppercut, and it was over after a few follow-up shots. Now 33 years of age, these are the exact type of fights Durden simply cannot be giving away. He's now lost two in a row on the heels of a four-fight winning streak.
Will face Silva
FlyweightUFC
May 16, 2024
Durden will take on Bruno Silva in a flyweight bout at UFC Vegas 94 on July 20, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Durden was originally scheduled to face Carlos Hernandez on June 29, but the UFC decided to change course. The flyweight is looking to bounce back, as his last time in the Octagon, he fell to Tagir Ulanbekov in the second round via rear-naked choke.
Set to face Carlos Hernandez
FlyweightUFC
March 24, 2024
Durden will face Carlos Hernandez in a flyweight bout at UFC 303 on June 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Durden's winning streak ended abruptly at four following a loss to Tagir Ulanbekov on Dec. 16. The 32-year-old veteran will hope to bounce back against an opponent who hasn't looked inspiring or dominant in his first four UFC fights.
