Brasil lost to Cong Wang via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 312 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Brasil stated heading into this fight that she wanted to get her grappling game going. The end result was a single takedown attempt which failed, while allowing Wang to land both of her tries. On the feet, Brasil was hopelessly outmatched. She ended up on the short end of a 103-31 count in terms of significant strikes landed. Bruna's recent move to link up with the elite Fighting Nerds team in her native Brazil hasn't resulted in any consistency. She's now alternated losses and wins in her first five UFC bouts.

Wang up next

January 2, 2025
Brasil will fight Cong Wang at UFC 312 on Feb. 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brasil pulled off an upset over Molly McCann during her most recent fight in July, and the former will now look to continue her momentum against Wang, who is no stranger to losing as a heavy favorite.
Pulls upset of Molly McCann

July 27, 2024
Brasil defeated Molly McCann via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a +275 underdog in enemy territory, Brasil went out and passed this test with flying colors. Twice the size of her opponent and much better on the feet, Brasil rocked McCann twice to the body in Round 1 and nearly earned the stoppage. The fight was closer over the course of the final 10 minutes, but Brasil did a nice job of not allowing Molly to spend extended periods of times in a dominating position and cruised to the decision. A win over McCann doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it does improves Brasil's UFC record to 2-2.
Heading into hostile territory
StrawweightUFC
May 14, 2024
Brasil will take on Molly McCann in a strawweight matchup at UFC 304 on July 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Brasil is 1-2 iin the UFC, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Loma Lookboonmee in February. She'll now walk into a hostile crowd, facing a Brit in an event that's tentatively scheduled to take place in Manchester, England. Brasil will be conceding a massive striking volume edge to McCann, who also has a slight advantage in terms of offensive wrestling volume. At the very least, Brasil will have slight height and reach advantages.

Brasil lost to Loma Lookboonmee via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight was more competitive than many expected it to be. Both women landed one takedown. If you told Brasil that was going to be the case before the fight began, she certainly would have signed up. Ultimately, however, Brasil wasn't able to consistently win the striking exchanges between the two despite having a big size advantage. It's certainly worth noting Lookboonmee was by far the best opponent Bruna had faced to date. Sporting a 1-2 record in her first three UFC bouts, Brasil looks like nothing more than roster depth.
Slated to fight in February
