Nascimento defeated Cody Durden via submission (anaconda choke) at 3:13 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Outside of the finish, it was a thoroughly uninspired performance from Nascimento as a -300 favorite. Facing an opponent that accepted this fight a week ago, he did virtually nothing in Round 1 outside of throwing some token leg kicks here and there. He continued the inactivity in Round 2 before finally connecting with a right hand. The force of the blow had Durden in immediate trouble, and he left his next exposed as a result.
