UFC debut scheduled
Hassanzada is scheduled to compete against Mitch Ramirez in a lightweight fight at UFC Kansas City on April 26, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
In late-2024, Hassnzada earned a UFC contract by submitting Dylan Mantello with a third-round rear-naked choke through Dana White's Contender Series. April 26 will mark Hassnzada's promotion debut, and it will come against a recent debutant finished by Thiago Moises back in March.

Late submission earns contract
Hassanzada defeated Dylan Mantello via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:14 of Round 3 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 72. After the show, he was one of five fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Leading up to the finish, Hassanzada was behind in the striking totals, but did have a formidable lead in control time while also landing a pair of takedowns (on a dozen attempts). He could have very well been behind on the scorecards, especially after his opponent landed an early Round 3 spinning backfist, but Hassanzada wisely determined not to leave it to the judges. Hassanzada enters the UFC's loaded lightweight division having finished 11 of his 12 pro victories (six submissions, five KO/TKO).
