The UFC makes its debut in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday, November 22 for a solid UFC Qatar card. The main event sees top lightweight contenders throw down, as Arman Tsarukyan takes on Dan Hooker.
UFC Qatar: MMA Betting Picks and Odds Insight
Below, I'll share my UFC Qatar predictions, including my favorite pick, an underdog, a prop and a two-fighter parlay. All UFC odds are via the DraftKings Sportsbook and are accurate as of the post date of this article.
Weight Class: Heavyweight
Shamil Gaziev (14-1) vs. Serghei Spivac (17-6)
On the main card of UFC Qatar, an intriguing heavyweight bout goes down, as Shamil Gaziev takes on Serghei Spivac. I like Gaziev to get his hand raised.
Spivac is on a two-fight losing streak and hasn't looked all that good as of late. His chin is a bit of a concern, and Gaziev is a great striker with plenty of power.
I like Gaziev to be able to keep this fight standing, as he has an 83 percent takedown defense. On the feet, Gaziev has plenty of power, and Spivac has a negative striking differential. So, I like Gaziev to land the big shots and likely get a TKO win here.

Weight Class: Flyweight
Kyoji Horiguchi (34-5) vs. Tagir Ulanbekov (17-2)
For my underdog pick at UFC Qatar, I'm taking Kyoji Horiguchi to defeat Tagir Ulanbekov.
Horiguchi is returning to the UFC after his run in Bellator and RIZIN, and it's a surprise he's buried on the prelims. On top of that, he's a big underdog here.
Horiguchi is older, but he's still a great fighter. To me, I haven't been impressed with Ulanbekov and believe this is a closer to a pick'em. Ulanbekov is a great wrestler, but Horiguchi has good takedown defense and scrambles, as I like Horiguchi to be able to keep it standing and be more active on the feet to edge out a decision win.
This will be a very close fight, but to get +170 on Horiguchi makes it a must-play for me.

Weight Class: Light heavyweight
Volkan Oezdemir (20-8) vs. Alonzo Menifield (17-5-1)
For my prop at UFC Qatar, I'm taking the light heavyweight scrap between Volkan Oezdemir and Alonzo Menifield to go under 2.5 rounds.
Oezdemir is fighting for the first time in a year and takes on Menifield. Both fighters have a ton of power, while their chins are also a concern.
Menifield is stepping up in competition, and the last time he stepped up, was against Carlos Ulberg and Azamat Murzakanov, and he got knocked out in the first and second rounds, respectively. I like Oezdemir to be able to TKO Menifield early here, but taking the under 2.5 rounds is the safer way, as there is a chance Oezdemir gets cracked early.

Weight Class: Featherweight & Lightweight
Luke Riley (11-0) vs. Bogdan Grad (15-3)
Arman Tsarukyan (22-3) vs. Dan Hooker (24-12)
For my parlay at UFC Qatar, I'm taking Luke Riley and Arman Tsarukyan to get their hands raised on Saturday.
Riley is making his UFC debut and is a top prospect, and this is a great fight for him to get a big win here. Grad is coming off a loss last time out, and on top of that, Riley has plenty of power. I like the latter to land the better shots and get a TKO win here, as this is set up for him to get an early win and make a statement.
To close out the parlay, I'm taking Tsarukyan to defeat Hooker in the main event. Tsarukyan hasn't fought since April of 2024, when he defeated Charles Oliveira, as he dealt with a back injury. This is a great matchup for him, as he should be able to take Hooker down at will and likely get a submission win.
Hooker has struggled against wrestlers and being held down, and Tsarukyan is the real deal. This should be a one-sided fight.
