Zeev Buium

19-Year-Old DefensemanD
2025 Fantasy Outlook
After posting 48 points in 41 games during his sophomore season with Denver, Buium made his NHL debut under unique circumstances: Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He jumped right into a role on the third pair and quarterbacked Minnesota's top power play for four games before being scratched in the final two outings of the series. For the 2025-26 season, all signs point to him not only making the Wild but being an important piece of the team's top-four defensemen and power play. The 19-year-old will look to emulate Lane Hutson, who had six goals and 60 assists last year.. Buium has to earn the trust of the Wild brass first, but he has the offensive capabilities and high-caliber of offensive talent around him, where that kind of offensive season and being part of the Calder Trophy conversation doesn't seem too far-fetched. Collects two power-play assists
DMinnesota Wild
October 14, 2025
Buium notched a pair of power-play assists, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Stars.
ANALYSIS
Buium set up goals by Matt Boldy and Kirill Kaprizov in the Wild's comeback attempt that fell short in the third period. With a goal and four helpers, all on the power play, over four games this season, Buium has had little trouble adjusting to the NHL in his first professional season. His defensive game is still in need of some work -- he's now sporting a minus-6 rating -- but that will come with experience. As long as the Wild's top power-play unit is filling the net with Buium involved, he should be rostered in most fantasy formats.
