2025 Fantasy Outlook
Morrow's first full pro campaign went well. He spent the 2024-25 regular season between AHL Chicago and Carolina, recording 39 points and 47 PIM in 52 outings with Chicago as well as a goal and six points in 14 appearances with the Hurricanes. The 22-year-old defenseman was dealt to the Rangers over the summer, and he should get an opportunity to play regularly as part of New York's third pairing. Morrow has plenty of offensive upside, but he might not feature on the power play as long as Adam Fox and Vladislav Gavrikov are available. Unless the circumstances allow for Morrow to play significant minutes with the man advantage, you shouldn't expect more than 20-30 points in 2025-26. Read Past Outlooks

Sent to the minors
The Rangers sent Morrow to AHL Hartford on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Morrow was dealt from the Hurricanes to the Rangers on July 1. The 22-year-old played 14 regular-season games with Carolina in 2024-25, scoring once and adding five assists with 16 blocked shots. He should be one of the first defensemen recalled in case of injury.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2022
Morrow made his NHL debut, playing a pair of games at the end of the regular season with the Hurricanes in 2023-24 after ending his collegiate career at UMass-Amherst. The defenseman had six goals and 30 points in 37 NCAA games last season and chose to forego his senior year to sign with the Hurricanes. It's likely that Morrow will start the season at AHL Chicago and could be recalled if the Hurricanes have an injury or two on the blue line. Morrow was selected in the second round, 40th overall in 2021, so Carolina has plenty invested in him.
