Bolduc got crowded out of the equation with the Islanders last season, and that likely led to them letting him walk without a qualifying offer. He signed with the Kings -- another team with ample blue-line depth -- in the offseason. Bolduc had 35 points in 69 games with AHL Bridgeport in 2024-25, so there's certainly some offense in his profile, but that's led to just eight points in 52 NHL appearances. Bolduc made his NHL debut last season, appearing in 17 games for the Islanders and managing a goal and a pair of assists. His 1:22 per game with the man advantage was a positive development, but it's hard to see that number remaining steady moving forward, at least not this coming season. Bolduc will battle veteran Sebastian Aho for the final spot on New York's blueline in 2023-24. Given the fact Bolduc had 35 points in 56 AHL games a season ago, he should have a slight leg up in the competition.
