2025 Fantasy Outlook
Greig scored 13 goals for a second straight campaign but generated personal bests in assists (21) and points (34) across 78 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. He added 119 shots, 47 blocks and 138 hits while reaching 60 PIM. Greig was productive alongside Shane Pinto, but both players slipped to bottom-six roles. Greig doesn’t have a high offensive ceiling in 2025-26 if he remains outside of the top six. However, he could flirt with the 40-point mark again while topping 100 shots and 100 hits. Nets lone goal on power play
Greig scored a power-play goal on two shots in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.
ANALYSIS
Greig has a goal, an assist and six shots on net through three games. His physicality has been a bit down to start 2025-26 -- he has just one hit after racking up 138 of them to go with 34 points over 78 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Greig remains in a third-line role but is seeing an average of 17:04 of ice time so far, steady with last year's mark, so his offense should be fairly stable.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Greig had 13 goals, 26 points, 66 PIM and 129 hits in 72 contests in 2023-24. He's still just 22 years old, and that was his first full NHL campaign, so naturally, fantasy managers will view him as having upside. The problem is Greig doesn't have an obvious path to a top-six role, and he'll likely be on the second power-play unit at best, which puts a limit on what he's likely to do offensively. Maybe he'll be able to flirt with the 40-point milestone, but unless he finds his way onto at least the second line with some regularity, it will be difficult for his production to tick higher than that.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Will avoid suspension
Greig will not face a suspension for his cross-check on Toronto's John Tavares in Game 1 on Sunday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Greig scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 6-2 defeat to the Maple Leafs. Since the start of April, the 22-year-old center has found his offensive game with two goals and five helpers in nine contests. If Greig continues to perform at this level, he could push for a top-six role, perhaps pushing David Perron down the lineup.
