Beck had a great season in the AHL last year in his first full pro season, notching 15 goals and 29 assists in 64 games with AHL Laval. He also got 12 games in the NHL, and that didn’t go quite as well; he recorded just one assist and held a minus-2 rating in those outings. It feels like the 21-year-old is knocking on the door of the NHL, but with the centers already on Montreal's roster, he’s likely to start 2025-26 in the AHL.
