2025 Fantasy Outlook
Marner had 27 goals and a career-high 102 points in 81 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, which made it his fourth straight campaign with at least 25 goals and 85 points. To put that into context, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, Connor McDavid and Mikko Rantanen are the only other players who have hit those marks in all of the past four seasons. Marner's 265 regular-season assists over the same four-year stretch also ranks fourth in the league behind just MacKinnon, Nikita Kucherov and McDavid. In other words, Marner is one of the game's best playmakers, and moving to Vegas, where he's likely to play primarily alongside Jack Eichel instead of Auston Matthews, shouldn't change that. Marner won't provide fantasy managers with much in the way of PIM or hits, and his goal-scoring numbers are good, but not elite. This was Marner's first matchup against the Maple Leafs since he left them in the offseason to become another franchise cornerstone in Vegas. He's rolling right now with two goals and seven assists over his last six outings, and he's at a total of 11 goals, 49 points (16 on the power play), 90 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 46 appearances. That puts him a bit behind the pace of three of his last four campaigns in Toronto, but he's still among the league's best playmakers.

Marner has operated at a 100-point pace for four consecutive seasons but hasn't reached that mark yet in his career. He earned 26 goals and 85 points in 69 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign. His shots per game declined for a second straight year, but he could easily return to the 30-goal plateau in 2024-25. The 27-year-old forward will be eligible for unrestricted free agency next summer, which will provide plenty of motivation for him to reach another gear offensively. Whether he receives that contract from Toronto or lands somewhere else, Marner should pile up helpers and power-play points this season.
