2025 Fantasy Outlook
During his rookie season in 2024-25, Michkov led the Flyers with 26 goals and finished second on the team with 63 points in 80 games. The only contests he missed were back-to-back healthy scratches in early November. His average ice time increased from 16:18 to 19:36 after Philadelphia fired head coach John Tortorella in late March. It was a much smaller sample size at the end of the campaign, but it could signal better deployment and more responsibilities in 2025-26. Michkov meshed nicely with Sean Couturier and Travis Konency down the stretch, compiling six goals and 16 points in his final 12 appearances. The 20-year-old Michkov has the offensive upside to top 30 goals and 70 points in his sophomore season. Read Past Outlooks
Unavailable Tuesday
Michkov (foot) won't play against Anaheim on Tuesday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
Michkov will miss at least one game after taking a puck to his foot in Saturday's 5-2 win over Edmonton. He was on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, which could make this a short absence. Michkov has nine goals, 23 points and 78 shots on net in 40 appearances this season.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
After missing the playoffs for four straight years, Flyers fans could use something to be excited about and Michkov qualifies. The No. 7 overall pick from the 2023 NHL Draft is set to play in his rookie campaign after scoring 19 goals and 41 points in 47 contests between KHL Sochi and St. Petersburg last season. The 19-year-old is brimming with offensive potential, and he should get a chance to showcase it as part of the Flyers' top six and possibly even as a member of the first power-play unit. He figures to be a serious contender for the Calder Trophy and consequently is someone that you don't want to overlook, even if you're just in a single-season fantasy league.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Impressing with competitiveness
Michkov has made a good impression on new head coach Rick Tocchet through his work ethic and competitiveness, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Michkov had 63 points in 80 games as a rookie in 2024-25. The 20-year-old winger's talent is not in question, but Tocchet has taken note of his ability to hound the puck and go to the net. With Tocchet taking a warmer approach than former head coach John Tortorella, Michkov may be able to avoid a sophomore slump and cement his place among the rising stars of the NHL in 2025-26.
